Rosh Hashanah - Box of Blessings
Friday, September 18, 2020 • 29 Elul 5780
6:00 PM - 6:30 PMYou will want to get your box of blessings to celebrate the New Year with delicious fun and laughter. The bx contains everything you'll need to join Rabbi Kantor and family for a pre-dinner full of fun!
We all know of the tradition of dipping apples in honey for a sweet new year, but did you know there is also a tradition of hosting a "Rosh HaShanah Seder" with a number of different specific foods (pomegranate, leaks, squash, etc.) - each of which is connected to a specific blessing for the new year and often based on puns or "plays on words" for the specific food. The Box of blessings will include whole dates, potato pancakes with leeks (We hope your home will have no "leaks" in the new year, roasted beets, roasted cubed pumpkin, raisins and celery (we hope you'll get a "raise in celery" this year) and much more. It will be a lot of fun!
Orders must be in by Wednesday, September 9. Your box will even be delivered to your front door!
Sorry, Registration has ended.
