David J.B. Krishef has been rabbi of Congregation Ahavas Israel, a Conservative synagogue in Grand Rapids, since 1994, and blogs at EmbodiedTorah.com. He is the author of Reflections on the Psalms, a contemplative, meditative, reflection on verses and phrases from each of the 150 Psalms. Rabbi Krishef serves on the Executive Board of the Rabbinical Assembly, the world-wide organization for Conservative/Masorti Rabbis, writes the popular "Ethics and Religion Talk" column for therapidian.com, frequently speaks and appears on interfaith panels within the Grand Rapids community, and has taught Hebrew and Judaism courses at local colleges.
