World Wide Wrap

Again this year B'nai Moshe Men's Club along with tens of thousands of Jews around the world celebrated the World Wide Wrap on Sunday, February 1st.

After services and a fabulous breakfast, we launched the Men's Club health initiative which is a national program and consists of keeping track of miles walked from now until June. At B'nai Moshe we are also using the health initiative to raise funds for Project Chessed which is a project of Jewish Family Service in West Bloomfield.

  • Dr. Steven Dunn described Project Chessed which helps families who do not have medical insurance because they fall into the crack - they are not eligible for Medicaid or other assistance and do not have the funds to pay for their medical insurance. It is a collaboration between medical practitioners, hospitals and pharmacies.

  • We will support this project by asking friends and relatives to pledge an amount per mile walked and donate the funds to Project Chessed.
Frank Federico, a personal trainer at the West Bloomfield JCC, then presented a program on 'staying healthy despite a hectic schedule' to complete our health initiative program.

To take part in the health initiative, click tally form, print it out from your browser, keep track of your miles on the form and return it to the synagogue (by mail or in person) after June 9th so that we can tally it.

You may also e-mail your weekly or monthly miles to us at webmoshe@cavtel.net.

The Project Chessed pledge form to keep track of your pledges can be accessed by clicking pledge form. Print it out from your browser, fill it in and return it to Project Chessed at JFS after June 9th along with a check for the amount pledged. Your friends can make out their own checks and send them if they wish.
