I was named at B'nai Moshe in 1950 and married there in 1971. My daughter was named there in 1982 and we remained members until 1985, shortly before leaving for California.
I have recently been employed by the Jewish Community Federation in San Francisco and found the B'nai Moshe website while doing some research.
I was saddened to hear of the loss of Cantor Klein. Although I have been active in a congregation since I have been in California, no Cantor has ever measured up the the standard that Cantor Klein set for me through all those years.
I am happy to hear that the congregation has a new home, which I hope to see one day when I am back in the area visiting my daughter who is at U of M in Ann Arbor.
Many memories have come back reading the site. Glad to see it

I just discovered your website and it brought back many,
many years of B'nai Moshe past.
When I started going to B'nai Moshe as a little boy with my father,
Morris Z. Borinstein, z''l, the Oak Park shul was still being built.
He often spoke of the congregation when it was still in the old neighborhood.
I celebrated my Bar Mitzvah in the new Oak Park shul in 1961 and spent many,
many Sabbaths and High Holidays looking up from our front row seat to hear
Rabbi Lehrman, z''l, deliver his inspiring sermons and hear Hazzan Klein, z''l,
sing in that beautiful baritone voice. I remember Shalom Ralph coming over to
give my father the kohen aliyah before I was even old enough to participate up
on the bima, and, of course, showing me where to stand before I sang my haftorah.
Memories I've passed along to my own son, David.
Best regards to all.
Dr. Dennis I. Borinstein
Looking good:
I just wanted to wish everyone at Congregation B'nai Moshe well.
I was a Bar Mitvah in 1984 (when the Synagogue was still in Oak Park and
Stanley Rosenbaum was Rabbi). I just pulled up your website for the first time.
I'm happy to see that Shalom Ralph is still going strong.
At the same time, I'm saddened to hear about the loss of Cantor Klein.
Anyway, thank you for allowing me to relive a bit of my jewish childhood
through your website.
