Our Synagogue
Recently I was looking through some of the past bulletins, and I was remarking to various people about all of the wonderful activities that were going on in our synagogue. Then I got to wondering why I hear from some congregants that there is not much doing for them at the synagogue.
We have programming for all ages, from tot-Shabbat, L.I.F.E. programs, Family Camp, Shabbat dinners, and Stay and Learn after services on Saturdays. Our youth director has done programming for those 13 years or older. For those interested we have services twice a day, six days a week. “Mocha Moment” meets every Thursday (changed to Wednesday) at 10 AM at Barnes and Noble Bookstore for some lively discussion with our Rabbi. (No subject taboo) We are a full service synagogue.
For those of you that are not active members and come only three times a year, we also welcome you. We would like to get to know you. We believe that there is a place for everyone at B’nai Moshe.
If you have a problem and you need someone to talk to in confidence, we have a dedicated rabbi and cantor who will always be willing to listen and council you.
I have always found it interesting that we do not have so called “cliques” in our synagogue. Some synagogues have their founding families as one group, and another group, maybe from another synagogue that has joined at a later time. We have all of those families, but we consider ourselves one big B’nai Moshe family.
On a closing note I would like to personally thank all of you for your kind words and support of me and my sisters and brother for the loss of our mother.
