Throughout our history, the Jewish community has centered itself on the principles of learning and education. Because of our rich literary tradition, we have been referred to as the “People of the Book.”

What makes Judaism such a special and unique religion and community is our focus not on any one person or authority, but on the words of our Creator, our sacred texts, our rituals and traditions, and the commentaries of our beloved rabbis throughout history. Without access to these ever-important words, the Jewish people would not be such a vibrant “light unto the nations.”
